2008 - 2010
Our history dates back to 2008 in Runescape, Gambino was one of many mafia themed clans back then and one of the strongest pre EoC, Gambino was around for a little while prior to being given its name, which was given by the first Don Knight 2672. His goal was to build a massive army and wage war against other families and clans. Gambino was a very active family with daily events and weekly meetings hosted by Knight in his PoH in Taverly w39 from around 2007-2010 with help from his council. Around this time Gambino was in its prime with many activities and near monthly wars ranging from 100vs100 to 50vs50, winning many. The family was also very active in the Mafia Network with Underboss+ members often participating in Don Meetings and engaging via RS Forums. Knight lead this Family very well over the years, and he made Gambino truly feel like a home. Around 2010-2011 Knight resigned leadership, and leadership was eventually passed to Anders Enga.
2010 - 2015
My recollection of this timeframe is only from bits and pieces of information as I stopped actively playing in 2010, Leadership was passed aroud a bit after Knight, til Anders Enga took over. Anders lead the Family for about three years - Work in progress will update soon
A factor to Gambino's fall during these years was due to the new Clan System put in place around 2011 which made it hard for our family and others to recruit as many members as they were once able to.
OSRS Gambino History - By Glorioso/Kill Joy788
2015 - 2020
I came back to OSRS in 2015, upon returning there was no sign of Gambino remaining in either game. After having spent a year in the only mafia remaining in OSRS, The Verona Family, Don LukeCavalier resigned and asked if I would like to lead, but I decided to bring back Gambino. A few of the remaining Verona members decided to join me. From then on, Gambino became a very active clan once again. I hosted daily events, along with weekly meetings inspired by Don Knight. With each event we recruited new members. Meetings were held at my POH in Taverly W339 every Friday, just as they use to be. This is where we welcomed new members, voted for the weekly events, and discussed important matters of the family. I greatly enjoyed hosting these meetings, as they were one of my favorite aspects of Gambino back in the day and I wanted to continue them. The family deal with multiple mutinies during this time period as well.
2020 - 2025
There was a massive clan update in May 2021, where we had to relocate the entire cc to a new channel, from my old friends channel to the new Gambino cc. This was hard because many of the old members that were inactive would return to an empty cc, and the only way they'd know about the new cc was through me/other mems or discord. Because of this, we likely lost a large amount of our clan base that was inactive during this time. I continued to run meetings every Friday, over 200 until discontinuing them in Feb 2022 mostly due to discord being able to streamline the process. We kept weekly events going for about a year after that til March 2023, I had to stop hosting them due for a bit. After finishing college in Dec 2024 I became more active, but It wasn't until Aug 2025 that we started to get events going again. Though we did have a lack of events for a while, Gambino has always remained active with familiar faces which I am very grateful for. Many of which that have stayed loyal to the family for so long.
